About the wine

Elisabetta Foradori and Rainer Zierock were always a moment ahead of their time. At a time when the entire wine world was looking at and honoring the grape varieties known as international, such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, their full attention was paid to Teroldego, which is native to Trentino. At their winery, which had existed since 1901 and was owned by the Foradori family in 1939, they were already working on a Teroldego mass selection in 1985. Just one year later, they pressed the first “Granato”. An icon wine among European wines to this day. The move towards biodynamic viticulture followed in 2002, certified since 2009. Emilio, Theo and Myrtha continue and develop their parents' work today. Together with their mother, Elisabetta, they are working on an operating concept back to a part of a mixed company as in the past. Always working in the cycle of nature, always ahead of its time.

Emma Thompson - Wonderful mind, with great charisma, attractive, delicious aromas such as gooseberry, white mulberry, crunchy pear, a touch of exoticism of rambutan, also lots of wit, accompanied by spices such as coriander seeds, and charm, floral scent of almond blossoms and acacia, together with the flowers a touch of honey, this dissolute, generous character is wonderfully grounded by a grounding earthy Absorbed friendliness and lots of invigorating commitment, saltiness and freshness balance perfectly and ensure great elegance and radiance in this enchanting essence of wine.
Culinary recommendation
Unsere Empfehlung: Der Weisswein schmeckt am besten bei leicht gekühlten 10°-12°C. Im folgenden Zeitraum liegt die ideale Genussphase dieses Weins: Jetzt bis 2020.
Vinification
Selective harvest by hand, fermentation on the shells in cement tanks, then aging for 7 months in acacia wood barrels.
