About the wine
With the distinctive red wine 2019 — Marqués Casa Concha Merlot Maule Valley DO, nuances and accents are redefined. The winemaker from the Chilean winery Concha y Toro has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and refinement are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the beautiful and sunny landscape of Valle Central. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Merlot goes very well with poultry or slightly spicy red meat.
Tasting note
Color: Deep dark red with a rich black core, colortight. Aromas: Pure, lush, ripe, black fruit of cassis and elderberry, fine smoky notes, caramel, licorice and sandalwood, subtly earthy, herbaceous. Body: The soft start is followed by polished elegant tannins, well-integrated acidity, seductive, sweet-looking palate aromas and a long finish. Quality: Typical Merlot, intense and multi-faceted.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with Älplerrösti baked with cheese and bacon, casseroles, pies and duck breast strips with mustard sauce.
