About the wine
This dominant Ermitage 2021 — Marsanne-Roussanne Le Bruit des Vagues VdP crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. The wine-growing regions of the French winery Domaine Julien Pilon extend across the landscapes of the Côtes du Rhône, where the experienced winemaker produces this white wine. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This Hermitage is ideal as an aperitif or vegetable buffer.
Tasting note
The “Les Bruits des Vagues” is bright golden yellow. The nose likes ripe aromas of melon, peach and citrus fruits and slight mineral accents. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and concentrated with aromas of nectarine, pear and citrus paired with an animating acidity and a slightly salty-mineral finish. A wine that inspires with lots of drinking flow and energy.

Goes well with aperitif, light meat dishes, fish, seafood, vegetarian dishes, dishes with cream sauce
Vinification
The grapes for this cuvée come from two plots located about 300 meters above sea level on the plateaus above the northern Rhone Valley. Due to their sandy granite soil and their slightly less sunny location, the grapes grown there retain their natural freshness. After manual harvesting, the two types of grapes are vinified separately and aged for 10 months on lees in 400-liter oak barrels before blending.
