About the wine
The wine-growing regions of the Greek winery Santo Wines stretch across the landscapes where the experienced winemaker produces this red wine. You will definitely have a lot of fun with the fine Mavrotragano Protected Geographical Indication Cyclades, which was produced in 2015.
Tasting note
Mavrotragano was born on the volcanic soil of Santorini and is a rarity Native red variety that offers wines of pure individuality. Vivid ruby red color. Rich nose with red and black fruits such as cherries and berries with notes of vanilla and tobacco. The generous and structured palate with soft tannins shows excellent aging potential
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meat, game, spicy sauces.
Vinification
Classic red winemaking for this old local red variety. Ageing: 12 months in medium 225 lt French oak nbarrels. It was bottled unfiltered, there is a possibility that sediment may be present in the bottle.
