About the wine
If you're looking for something special, don't miss out on this dominant Corvina 2009 — Mazzano Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOC. Beautiful and blooming landscapes in Veneto give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Masi conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Corvina can be served very well with roast or game.
Tasting note
Very dense ruby. Opulent, wonderfully open nose with notes of ripe dried fruit, rum pot and burnt cream. The start on the palate is accompanied by lots of fruit extract, the tannins are fine and of excellent quality. Notes of sweet black berries, warm spices and plum compote. Full-bodied and very long-lasting. Great storage potential.

A great partner for hearty dishes and cheeses.
Vinification
The grapes for the individual “Mazzano” vineyard (in the municipality of Negrar) are harvested by hand and carefully harvested again before traditional drying. The grapes are pressed in January and the mash is fermented in large wooden barrels. The wine is then placed in 600 l barrels, in which it matures for three to four years.
