About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Selva Capuzza has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this white wine, which originates in the blooming and fertile landscape of Lombardy. You will definitely have a lot of fun with the first-class Menasasso Lugana Riserva DOC, which was produced in 2013.
Tasting note
Straw yellow with golden reflections. Intense nose, beautiful complexity. Ripe citrus fruit, sweet, benevolent herbal scent. The oak notes complete the bouquet without being obtrusive. Flattering, engaging and harmonious on the palate. Remarkably clean and straight. The finish is persistent and of great finesse. A masterpiece.
Culinary recommendation
Goes perfectly with saltimbocca with saffron risotto. Or with fried pollock with hollandaise sauce and fresh asparagus.
Vinification
The selected grapes are carefully harvested by hand. The grapes are destemmed and pressed. Some of the grape juice is fermented in barriques. The largest amount of must ferments in steel at carefully controlled temperatures. After a period of 10 to 14 months, the two wines obtained are married and mature for a further 5 months before bottling.
