About the wine

To get a feel for the mountainous landscape beauty, there is no way around this red wine, which the Austrian Weingut Goldenits masters with a keen sense of texture. With the special Mephisto from 2013, you will positively surprise your friends.

Tasting note
Ruby garnet with a dark core, ripe cherries on the nose, very close-meshed on the palate, the tannins are integrated and present, powerful on the palate with cassis and enormous Syrah spiciness on the finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meat with strong sauces, grilled meats & game fowl, pasta & risotto dishes, as well as hard cheeses.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand. After a maceration period of 20 days, the grape must is fermented in a temperature-controlled manner. The ageing takes place in new barriques for 18 months.
