About the wine
His great love for sweet but also forbidden fruits prompted colonial goods and delicatessen retailer Smith to travel year after year to his place of longing in Alicante, the city of Yecla. The dry heat and the merciless sun immeasurably increased his desire for Maria Dolores, the daughter of his old business partner Aurelio Garcia. Between the vines of the three vineyards of Garcia, they found shelter from the blazing sun, slobbering glances and merciless clerics, and gave themselves up to each other with consequences. Even today, three wines in the Garcia repertoire remind us of this passionate romance and the three such extraordinary, picture-perfect daughters.
Tasting note
Mercedes, the second born, gracious, of natural dark beauty, delicious, juicy sweet dark berry fruit, a cool and bold kind, dark moist earth, undergrowth, so beautiful. On the palate, a warm darkness, security, dense, dark fruit, homely, some wood, the abundant soft tannins lie down like a warming coat on the palate and tongue, a firm character on the inside, the deep, bitter darkness, peaty, so reliably dormant. It's wonderful how gentleness and steadfastness combine to create a noble character.

Vinification
Selective reading by hand. Aged for 12 months in American oak barrels (500l).
