About the wine
The farm run by the Scarbolo family is located in the south of Friuli, nestled in rolling hills, on the right bank of the Torres. The clay and siliceous soils and the special microclimate are perfect for viticulture. Valter Scarbolo follows the development of the wines from the vine to the bottle. Fermented in steel tanks, these classic white wines from Friuli focus on fruitiness and varietal specificity. Thanks to their restrained acidity and the beautiful variety of aromas, Valter's wines offer carefree drinking pleasure.

Tasting note
Shiny ruby red, fine bouquet with notes of wild berries, cherries and pepper. On the palate, it is supple, with a pleasant fullness, fresh fruit and fine tannins. An honest parade Merlot!
Culinary recommendation
With grilled or roasted red meat and generally with all typical specialities of the more rustic cuisine.
Vinification
Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 26-28° C. Half of the wine is stored in stainless steel tanks for about 12 months, half in large wooden barrels and then blended.
