About the wine
The farm run by the Scarbolo family is located in the south of Friuli, nestled in rolling hills, on the right bank of the Torres. The clay and siliceous soils and the special microclimate are perfect for viticulture. Valter Scarbolo follows the development of wines from the vine to the bottle. Fermented in steel tanks, these classic white wines from Friuli focus on fruitiness and varietal specificity. Thanks to their restrained acidity and beautiful variety of aromas, Valters wines offer a carefree drinking pleasure.

Tasting note
Brilliant ruby red, fine bouquet with notes of wild berries, cherries and pepper. The palate is smooth, with a pleasant fullness, fresh fruit and fine tannins. An honest parade of Merlot!
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled or roasted red meat and generally with all typical specialities of the more rustic cuisine.
Vinification
Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 26-28° C. Half of the wine is stored in steel tanks and the other half in large wooden barrels for about 12 months and then assembled.
