About the wine
If we can offer something special for Christmas 2018, it's this dominant Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 — Merlot Reserve. The enchanting and sunny landscapes of the coastal region give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the South African winery Vergelegen conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Cabernet Sauvignon is ideal to serve with pizza with mushrooms or ribeye steak.

Tasting note
Ripe plum color with ruby red edges. The nose shows aromas of ripe fruit, black cherries, plums, spices and a touch of chocolate. The ripeness of the fruit is balanced by fresh fruit acid with soft wood and fruit tannins. The aftertaste is long and persistent.
Culinary recommendation
Serve it decanted with your favorite red meat—I'd recommend lamb chops or a fillet steak.
