Tasting note
Deep ruby red. Complex, concentrated bouquet with notes of ripe dark fruits, cherries, plums and spices. On the palate, the Merlot from Batic brings back memories of raspberry and plum cake, currants and vanilla. The tannins are present but beautifully integrated and velvety soft.
Vinification
In October, 5% of the grapes are selected for a grape's own yeast. Selective harvest by hand at the end of October. Fermentation in Slovenian barriques for 30 days. It acquires its elegance without human intervention, thus providing natural stability.
