About the wine
With the distinctive red wine 2014 — Merlot, nuances and accents are redefined. Fertile and beautiful landscapes of the coastal region give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the South African winery Eikendal conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you offer this Merlot with duck or slightly spicy red meat.

Tasting note
Rich purple. Concentrated chocolate, cinnamon and cassis bouquet, peppery with a touch of vanilla. Bold on the palate, opulent structure. Ripe fruit with a well-supporting acid-tannin structure. shades of red currants. Well-balanced body, long-lasting, elegant finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with meat dishes, cold platters, pasta, rabbits and cheese platters.
Vinification
Fermentation in steel tanks. Ageing for 16 months in French barriques.
