The winemaker from the Italian winery Donna Olimpia 1898 masters this red wine with sensitivity and intuition in the blooming and fertile landscape of Tuscany. Tasting note
Bright, intense garnet red with a purple tinge. On the nose, notes of wild berries, spices, cinnamon, pepper and cocoa. Full-bodied, elegant with silky tannins and a spicy long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with meat, hard cheese, Mediterranean cuisine.
Vinification
Alcohol fermentation in stainless steel tanks, then malolactic fermentation. 24 months in French oak barrels, half new and half second used. Stored in the bottle for an additional six months.
