About the wine
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt made Château Miraval world-famous when they chose it as their family home and got married there in the chapel. The castle also has a vineyard, which is looked after by the renowned Perrin winegrowing family (Château de Beaucastel). According to Wine Spectator, Miraval Rosé is one of the best wines in the world. Our cult wine from Provence!
James Suckling: 90/100
Tasting note
Elegant, bright and clear pink with delicate silvery reflections. On the nose, the great elegance and nuance of Miraval Rosé is immediately apparent, which has a wonderfully aromatic, intensely floral bouquet that combines notes of hibiscus and amaryllis with delicate aromas of vineyard peach. The fine aromas continue on the palate with a lush, fleshy, silky texture and delicious notes of crunchy fruit, combined with a pleasant tension and a very nice balance due to the natural acidity and minerality of the Miraval terroir, which contributes salty and chalky notes. Very long-lasting, wonderful and silky finish. An impressive Miraval with distinctive aromas.
Culinary recommendation
It goes perfectly with any aperitif but also with Asian dishes and shellfish.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested and sorted by hand in 35 kg baskets, then gently pressed and aged in steel tanks at controlled temperatures (90%) and in oak barrels with batonnage (10%).
