The Montebuoni Chianti Classico DOCG is a blend of Sangiovese, refined with a little Merlot. The soil composition is very similar to Cru Bellavista: In the lowest rows, the soil has a high clay content, and Merlot feels at home here. The higher you climb, the more permeable and limestone it becomes. It is precisely this lime that gives Sangiovese elegant, strong aromas here. It inspires us with its succinct fresh fruit with primarily red, but also black aromas of bromine and raspberries as well as cherries. The structure is hands-on and shows energy. But above all, the wine impresses with its proverbial Ama elegance and spicy Sangiovese character. Wonderfully full-bodied and juicy, Montebuoni is a wonderful drinking pleasure.
