The Viognier grape, characterized by exotic aromas, obviously finds good conditions in the climate and on the lime-rich soil near Scansano. Their home is the northern Rhone Valley: the Condrieu region with the famous Château Grillet. Here, the variety ripens late. Scansano is different: The Viognier vine shows its ability to preserve a wonderful breed when fully ripe, in addition to the fruitiness typical of the variety. The grapes are fermented in the inox tank for almost two weeks, where the must remains until bottling.
