About the wine
Fertile and blooming landscapes in Umbria give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Antonelli conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. This provocative Merlot 2013 — MONTEFALCO rosso DOC crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Merlot with poultry or duck.
Tasting note
Good structure, scent of wild berries, cherries and plums. Four different grape reds are used to make this warm and fruity red wine.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with risotto, pasta and game dishes.
Vinification
Die Vinifikation fand wie folgt statt: Gesonderte Vinifizierung jeder Traubensorte. Temperaturkontrollierte Gärung auf der Maische während 14-21 Tagen bei 28° C. Ohne Filtrieren wird der Wein anschliessend assembliert und 9 Monate in grossen Eichenholzfässern ausgebaut. Weitere 6 Monate im Zementtank und 6 Monate in der Flasche runden die Reifung ab. BIO
