Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOP 2021 - Tenuta Ulisse

About the wine

Luca Maroni: “Tenuta Ulisse - one of the clearest examples of the aromatic radiance that grapes can develop in beautiful Abruzzo.” Although the Ulisse family has been growing wine here for generations, the official founding year of the modern winery is 2006. Here, brothers Antonio and Luigi Ulisse chose a breathtaking landscape for their vineyards. Some sites offer views of the Adriatic Sea, while other vineyards have the Apennines behind them and the vines grow on hillsides. A paradise for lovers of Italy!

Tasting note
The Tenuta Ulisse Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC flows bright ruby red into the glass. With a fascinating bouquet of juicy, fruity aromas of red berries and ripe black cherries, it bewitches the nose. These aromas give way to a slightly spicy nuance of peppers mixed with mint, which are rounded off by light notes of caramel and chocolate. A top wine with a complex character!
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef, pork and game.
Vinification
The grapes for the wines are exclusively handpicked and processed using a special cooling process in such a way that the aromas of the grapes are retained in the wine. After a double selection, only the best grapes remain for the product.
