About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Masi has absolutely mastered his craft. Tasting note
Clear, bright yellow. On the nose, a successful combination of fresh, citric aromas and subtle dried fruit notes. On the palate, a successful sparkling wine, fresh and sparkling. Dry, again with citric aromas. Medium-long, animated finish.
Culinary recommendation
Wonderful as an aperitif, with summer antipasti or with fish.
Vinification
The two grape varieties are harvested and vinified separately. The Pinot Grigio is harvested around August and immediately pressed in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The result is a fresh, fragrant young wine. The Verduzzo is picked at the end of September and dried on wooden grates for around three weeks. The same process as when producing Amarone. This process is promoted by the thick skins of the grape variety and aims to obtain a higher concentration of aromas. After a short cold maceration at five degrees Celsius, fermentation follows in stainless steel. The two young wines are blended and processed into a dry sparkling wine using the Charmat method.
