Dark ruby red - dreamy, complex bouquet with aromas of blueberries, blackberries, ripe cherries, pepper as well as various herbs and spices. The iron-rich clay soil on which the grapes grow also gives the wine an earthy, fleshy, almost “bloody” character on the nose. Velvety but very strongly structured palate. The natural acidity provides the ripe fruit with a supportive corset and continues into the long-lasting finish. The wine is advantageously decanted in its youth in order to achieve its full advantage.
