About the wine
The farm run by the Scarbolo family is located in the south of Friuli, nestled in rolling hills, on the right bank of the Torres. The clay and siliceous soils and the special microclimate are perfect for viticulture. Valter Scarbolo follows the development of the wines from the vine to the bottle. Fermented in steel tanks, these classic white wines from Friuli focus on fruitiness and varietal specificity. Thanks to their restrained acidity and the beautiful variety of aromas, Valter's wines offer carefree drinking pleasure.
Tasting note
Shiny golden yellow; varied bouquet with subtle tones of tropical fruits such as ripe melon and lychies. Hints of tangerine peel, floral notes and fine roasted aromas. The palate is full and elegant, with fine minerality.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with shellfish and grilled fish, raw ham with melon, seafood and vegetable risotto. Also with mild hard and soft cheeses.
Vinification
The fermentation takes place in French oak barrels with a capacity of 500 liters. Ageing on fine lees in oak barrels for 10 months. Another year of storage in steel tanks.
