About the wine
The winemaker from the French winery Domaine de Fondrèche greets us with this wine, which he grows in the Côtes du Rhône countryside. There is something left over from Christmas dinner every year. Do you know that? Why not invite your friends over for a glass of wine in the afternoon to enjoy the festive meal again and we recommend this hearty Shiraz 2019. Tasting note
The N
Nature is a deep ruby red with purple reflections. On the nose, strong aromas of red fruits, black currants, violets, freshly ground pepper, some chocolate and a slightly meaty note inspire. On the palate, the perfect harmony between fullness, fruit and pleasant freshness is pleasing. Velvety tannins and a touch of menthol result in a long-lasting finish. A very drinky “natural wine” from the south of France that is being produced for the 12th time with the 2019 vintage.

Goes well with tapas of all kinds, with charcuterie, with poultry, with Provençal specialties, with pasta
Vinification
The grapes for the N
Rouges come from a very rocky plateau with a limestone background and a sandy clay structure on the surface. After manual harvesting, the grapes are processed without adding sulfur. Fermentation takes 21-28 days at controlled temperatures. The aging takes place for 6 months in egg-shaped vats and in large wooden barrels. The wine is bottled unembellished and unfiltered
