About the wine
For four generations, since 1900, the Massucco family has been active in viticulture and incorporates their more than 100 years of knowledge into the production of high-quality wines. In the Langhe and Roero vineyards in Piedmont, the vines grown in the Guyot system are cultivated on 40 ha, of which 20 ha are family-owned. 60% of this is attributable to red wines, 40% to white wines. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand. Massucco's wines are among the best Italian wines in terms of quality and price/performance ratio.
Tasting note
Ruby red color. On the nose, red fruits and some violets. On the palate, the wine is dry and the tannins are present but well integrated. Very good structure. The finish is intense and long.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC Nonno Vet goes well with pizza, burrata and prosciutto.
