What Guido Fantino and Claudio Conterno have achieved since the founding of the joint wine business in 1982 is impressive: It all began in the backyard, in a coach house, where the first barrels and the essentials were stored in close quarters. Today, one of the most modern and beautiful wineries in the region is located on Bricco Bastia, the highest point above Monforte d'Alba. Modern oenology is used here, sparkling chrome steel for the fermentation tanks and fine oak wood for the barriques impressively shape the character of the cellar. All wines that leave this cellar are clearly and precisely defined as the architecture and furnishings of this model establishment. Whether it's the simple Nebbiolo or the complex Sori Ginestra, whether we're tasting the Barbera or the magnificent, perfectly polished Chardonnay Bastia, everyone is a masterpiece.
