About the wine

Matané wines are produced by the best cooperative winery in Puglia. They work over 600 ha of vineyards in all zones with over 400 small winegrowers under contract. Winegrowers must meet very strict requirements when it comes to grape quality. In this way, the winery is able to press wines that meet the demands of a wide range of lovers. The Matané project impresses with very elegant and full-bodied wines, but they never appear bold or opulent. Each plant impresses with its enormous drinking flow and, thanks to the low price, can be recommended as a great treat for every day. We are completely convinced of Matané, the new vintages have even increased a notch. They are particularly popular in gastronomy, as they are ideal as uncomplicated food companions. After a tour of the impressive winery in San Marzano, it's off to the vines. In the typical albarello system (gobelet), the old vines are tended for the Il Matané. We are just before the harvest, the grapes taste wonderfully sweet! We are happy to work with this highly professional winery.
