Since the 12th century, the Benedictines have enjoyed the home-grown wine from their Santa Anastasia Abbey (north coast Sicily). Francesco Lena, contractor and owner of Abbazia, has realized an ambitious project here and produces a first quality flagship wine product. The abbey is has been renovated and expanded into a pretty hotel. The adjacent winery receives the grapes from the generous surrounding vineyards that make this magnificent Rounding off ownership. What's possible in Italy's south will here very clearly: The Rosso made from the local grape Nero d'Avola is perfectly defined, shows wonderfully fresh Rustic aromas. Its purity represents the masterful pressing.
