About the wine

Autochthonous grapes are “in” but that wasn't always the case. The Salestre is a top wine with a strong character and elegant from the almost forgotten grape variety Nero di Troia.

Tasting note
A balanced, full-bodied brick red wine with intense, complex aromas of prunes, raisins, spicy aromas of pepper, cinnamon and clove as well as a hint of plum and coffee. The palate is slightly sweet, with fine tannins and a soft, full and harmonious structure as well as a long, persistent finish.
Culinary recommendation
Serve this exceptional wine with fine mushroom dishes, but also with hearty stews, game specialities and hard cheeses.
