Tasting note
The new entry-level wine from the Ibiza mountains. Purple in the glass, Tierra Sur smells of black berries, violets and refreshing Ibizan herbs. Fruity and juicy on the palate, a treat made from fruit and cocoa. Red fruits and violets with an unmistakable salty background. A perfect example of a Mediterranean island wine!
Culinary recommendation
For game, barbecue and roasted vegetables, we recommend Flaschenpöstler. Our recommendation: Organic red wine tastes best at a slightly chilled temperature of 15°-17°C.
Vinification
Tierra Sur is grown in the northwest of the island on the Can Tonio winery, which is located on the slopes of the Els Amunts mountains. The vines grow on terraces and the terroir consists of conglomerate, gravel and clay. Organic farming from the first year onwards. Mash fermentation in small steel tanks, 12-month aging in French barriques, without fining (no animal proteins) and unfiltered.
