The story of Shafer Vineyards begins in 1972, when John Shafer moved with his family to Napa Valley after a career as a publisher and bought 85ha of land. Shafer is still a family business run by cool, smart Doug Shafer. Together with long-time winemaker Elias Fernandez, Doug uncompromisingly and masterfully produces wines of the highest quality and works dynamically and in an exemplary manner when it comes to organic/ecological matters. The Shafers' Cabernet Sauvignon One-Point-Five honors the long and fruitful collaboration between father John and son Doug with its name. With its fantastic wild berry fruit and distinctive tobacco notes, it shows outstanding class.
