About the wine
The winery was founded in 2007 and is located in the center of Tavoliere delle Puglie, a historic place where the Daunii once settled in the 10th and 11th centuries BC. Massimo Leone pays attention to the connection between history and modernity by cultivating exclusively autochthonous grape varieties. Vines are now cultivated on 12 ha of vineyards with stony ground in Posta di San Nicola dArpi. Low yields combined with high quality are Massimo Leone's goal.
Tasting note
Deep red with purple reflections, blackcurrants, blackberries and violets on the nose, spicy sweet notes in the mouth, warmly inviting with soft tannins and a long finish.
