Tasting note
In the Winespectator Top 100 ranking for five years in a row; Palazzo della Torre comes from the winery of the same name, which has been owned by the Allegrini family since the 60s of the last century. Recently, Villa della Torre, a residence from the Rinascimento, has also been purchased. This wine, obtained using the special ripasso process, has a good structure, soft substance and a lasting finish. Deep ruby red in color, it has a pleasant scent of wild berries and nuances of raisins. Corvina, Rondinella and Sangiovese are processed using two different methods: while 70% of the grapes are vinified immediately after harvesting, the remaining 30% rest until the end of December and are only then pressed as dry berries and added to the previously produced wine in a renewed fermentation process.

It goes well with a wide variety of risotto dishes, red meats, roasts and stews.
