Passorosso IGT 2016 - Passopisciaro

About the wine

Andrea Franchetti first founded the Tenuta di Trinoro winery in Tuscany, created vineyards in high, previously unused locations and quickly vinified great, subtle, erotic wines with Bordeaux varieties. The locals shook their heads at first, the critics soon applauded. Passopisciaro, founded in 2001, is his second stop. And once again Andrea was the first to recognize the great potential of Mount Etna in Sicily. And anyone who works with such passion and is so obsessed with quality also plants new vines on an active volcano. The cultivation follows organic principles without artificial fertilizers and herbicides. World-class.

Tasting note
How are you supposed to imagine paradise? Innocence, and apples already a fall into sin? But it should be beautiful, exciting, witty, stimulating and the wine, as heavenly sweet as this bright red, floating fruit, as tempting as the full-blooded gentle warmth, the warm-tart spice, anise, licorice, as light and witty as the delicate ethereal notes, the endless expanse, as stimulating as the smoky, mineral tones, just complete like this wine on the palate that combines everything, the erotic physical warmth, the Burgundian soaring elegance, the ethereal, mineral-tart excitement, this delicious perfume, a complete, a paradisiacal wine!

Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Passorosso IGT goes perfectly with Sicilian pasta dishes and beef goulash.
