About the wine
Sunny and fertile landscapes of Piedmont give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Cascina Castlet conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Barbera can be served very well with pasta or stews.
Tasting note
Amarone-style Barbera Garnet red in the glass with long-lasting aromas of plum and blackcurrant jam paired with nuances of dark chocolate. An extremely rich, full-bodied and velvety-elegant wine.

Goes well with Italian cuisine, braised dishes, cheese
Vinification
After hand harvesting in October, the grapes are placed in crates to dry. This creates a high sugar concentration in the shrinking grape berries, which are only squeezed in January. The wine then matures in French oak barriques.
