About the wine
Sunny landscapes in Terras do Sado give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Portuguese winery José Maria Da Fonseca conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. You will certainly have a lot of fun with the first-class Periquita Vinho Regional Península de Setúbal, which was produced in 2016.
Now until 2029
Tasting note
The original fruit changes, becomes more mature and fuller. The bouquet maintains the balance between the vegetable elements and the full-bodied strawberry aroma. The finish with distinctive fruit and dark chocolate is a fitting conclusion.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grill, hard cheese, Mediterranean cuisine, pasta/pizza.
Vinification
Fermentation with skins for four days in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 °C. Ageing: in new and used French oak barrels.
