Tasting note
The Petite Sirah grape variety has something in common with the well-known variety from the Vallée du Rhône. It is a cross between Syrah and Peloursin vines. The latter is called Durif in France and Blauer Muner in German. As strange as this may sound, vines of this variety have also been clearly identified in Aargau using DNA analysis. So close and yet so far... The nose reveals a mix of ripe berry fruit, spicy notes and subtle aging aromas. This red wine is fine, balanced and dense on the palate. This sensory impression is also reflected in the fruity, long finale, which is a lot of fun.
