About the wine
Sunny landscapes of Languedoc-Roussillon give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the French winery Domaine de l'Hortus conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. A must for connoisseurs, this dominant Shiraz 2018 — Pic Saint Loup AC Bergerie de l'Hortus Classique! The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you serve this Shiraz with roasted vegetables or barbecues.
Tasting note
A complex wine with notes of ripe red fruits, vanilla, licorice and spices. It is very fresh on the palate, with velvety tannins. The long aftertaste shows menthol freshness
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with charcuterie, Mediterranean cuisine, mushrooms, pasta and pizza.
Vinification
After classic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, Grenache and Syrah mature in vats for 12 months. The Mouvèdre is stored in oak barrels.
