About the wine
The wine-growing areas of the French winery Domaine François Crochet extend across the landscapes of Alsace, where the experienced winemaker produces this white wine. With the powerful white wine 2019 — Pinot Gris d'Alsace AC, you can offer your family and friends something very special. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Pinot Gris with mussels or sea bass.
Tasting note
The Pinot Gris is bright yellow with green reflections. On the nose, there are clear and intense aromas of ripe white fruit, some yeast pastries and a slightly smoky note. On the palate, the wine is smooth and creamy with yellow fruit aromas, a refreshing acid structure and a slight mineral saltiness. A pleasantly balanced Pinot Gris and a great food companion.

Goes well with light meat dishes, dishes with cream sauce, vegetarian dishes, cheese
Vinification
The grapes for this Pinot Gris come from various locations around Orschwihr. After handpicking, the grapes are sorted again at the winery and then gently pressed. The juice is then fermented with natural yeasts at cool temperatures. The aging on the yeasts takes place in steel tanks.
