About the wine
The landscape of the Bündner Herrschaft is mountainous and hilly, whose breathtaking expanses don't fit on a poster, but in a bottle. With a lot of feeling and experience, the winemaker from the Swiss winery Hansruedi Adank ensures that his craft inspires and convinces you. With the strong red wine 2020 — Pinot Noir AOC Graubünden, nuances and accents are redefined. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Pinot Noir is excellent to serve with cheese or salmon.
Tasting note
This Pinot Noir impresses with its dark and rich ruby red. On the nose, typical aromas of red berries, wild strawberries, some black cherry and sweet spice aromas. The palate is full-bodied and fruity with a slightly smoky note, elegant tannins and a long fruit-borne finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with Grisons specialities such as capuns, hearty meat dishes, veal, poultry, game and Bündner platters.
Vinification
The Pinot Noir grapes come from vines that are over 20 years old. After hand-picking, the grapes are destemmed and cold macerated. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures. The maturation takes place partly in used French wooden barrels (approx. 20%) and partly in steel tanks. The wine is only slightly filtered before being bottled.
