About the wine
Two vineyards in Marlborough, which all bring different notes to the final wine. The Twin Valley vineyard from a cooler area brings structure and finesse to the palate. The Ward vineyard about 45 km south of Blenheim brought excellent depth to the palate and rich, dark fruit aromas.

Tasting note
A complex bouquet with aromas of dark cherries, plums, dark chocolate and spices. Earthy tones flash. The palate absorbs these clear aromas full-bodied, smooth and complex. Soft tannins lead to a persistent, round and fresh finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with meat stew, mushroom dishes, game dishes with cranberries.
Vinification
After hand harvesting, 80% of the grapes were destemmed in order to achieve a better texture in addition to the fine tannins through the skins and seeds of the grapes during cold maceration (= skin contact at low temperatures to remove color, tannin and aromas from the berry skins at an early stage). During the subsequent mash fermentation, the pomace hat was pushed down by hand twice a day. The maximum fermentation temperature was 34°C. The wine was stored in French oak barrels for 15 months. Bottled unembellished and unfiltered.
