About the wine
Founded in 2001 by Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serôdio Borges, both winemakers and couple, invested in old vineyards and acquired land in the Pinhão Valley. “Our goal is to create wines that reflect the character of traditional vineyards and grape varieties from the Douro Valley. Wines balanced between concentration, complexity and elegance.
Tasting note
This sensational vintage port smells of plums, black pepper and fresh flowers. On the palate, juicy, sweet blackberries and ripe plums. A dense, sturdy body with extreme contrast and an endless sweet aftertaste. Impressive balance. A typical, ripe cherries, strong, dark chocolate. It appears balanced, berry-fruity and oil-sweet again. The finish is chocolaty-infinite-fantastic!
Vinification
The maturation was developed in an old port barrel for 19 months, after which the wine was bottled.
