About the wine
The wines of Chianti Classico are classified into different quality levels. At the top is the “Gran Selezione”. This includes wines from the best or the best locations of a winery. They must meet strict quality standards in a tasting and analytical way.
Tasting note
In the glass, the Poggino shows a deep ruby red. The rich bouquet is characterized by dark berries, the roasted aromas are present without dominating the wine. Extremely dense and powerful on the palate. Great persistence and lingering finish and finish.

Flaschenpost team recommends this Poggino Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione to accompany pasta, beef and lamb.
Vinification
A special single-vineyard Chianti from a very small, high-altitude location in the westernmost part of the Chianti area. 36 months of barrel aging in 50% new barrels result in a large Gran Selezione with excellent storage potential.
