About the wine

Of all the wineries of Bolgheri, Tenuta Argentiera is the closest to the sea and at the same time has the highest vineyards in the area. The interaction of the proximity to the sea and altitude leads to these unique and complex wines. Such as the Poggio ai Ginepri DOC, a classic Bolgheri Rosso made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabarnet Franc and Petit Verdot. Excellent quality and a distinctive style at a sensational price-quality ratio.

Tasting note
Aromas of pepper, plum, cassis and blackberry. On the palate, it has juicy fruit, ripe tannins and surprisingly concentrated. The wine exudes a wide and deep range of aromas. Already open and accessible, the structure is not only intense, but also beautifully soft and balanced. Simply a sensation in this price range!
Culinary recommendation
Great with roasts, ragout, red meat, salami and pizza with mushrooms.
Vinification
After berrying-off and gentle pressing, all varieties were processed separately. Fermentation and maceration took place for about 20 to 25 days in steel tanks at a controlled temperature not above 28° C. Half of the wine was then filled into used 225 liter French and Hungarian oak barriques, where malolactic fermentation was completed and then aged. The other 50% wine was aged in stainless steel tanks. The bottles were then assembled and filled.
