About the wine

With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Le Mortelle masters this red wine in the blooming and fertile landscape of Tuscany. We have a special, dominant Cabernet Sauvignon from 2015 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you offer this Cabernet Sauvignon with pizza with mushrooms or ribeye steak.

Tasting note
Deep ruby with opaque reflections. Complex, playful and impressive on the nose. The wine has a wide range of aromas. Dark chocolate, mint, blackberry jam, cassis, sour cherry compote, warm spices. Soft and flattering on the palate at first. After a few seconds on the palate, the strong tannins begin to take hold and the wine shows its strength and fullness. Once again, a rich palette of aromas, always perfectly balanced. A character wine!
Culinary recommendation
It almost calls for lamb chops with rosemary.
Vinification
The grapes are selected and harvested by hand in the vineyard. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks. During maceration, the pomace is stirred in again and again to obtain the best extraction of color and tannin. After fermentation, the young wine is transferred to new barriques, where it also completes the malolactic fermentation before the end of the year. After 16 months of aging in French wood, the wine is bottled and refined there for a further 10 months before it goes on sale.
