About the wine
Elisabetta Geppetti, the “Signora del Morellino”, transformed the Fattoria Le Pupille farmhouse in southern Tuscany into a renowned winery 30 years ago. With a passion for nature, she swapped the university for vineyards and realized her dream. Supported by experts such as Giacomo Tachis, Riccardo Cottarella and Luca D'Attoma, she created award-winning “Supertuscans” such as Morellino di Scansano, Riserva Poggio Valente and the flagship Saffredi — wines that are appreciated worldwide.

Tasting note
Intense ruby red. The nose is guided by hints of purple and red berries and sour cherries, followed by notes of licorice, tobacco and nutmeg. Round and soft on the palate, but with plenty of substance and an extensive fruity finish.

Our recommendation: The perfect serving temperature for the red wine is a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The recommended enjoyment phase of this wine is in the following period: 2016 - 2022. Flaschenpost team is recommended with poultry, slightly spicy, red meat and duck.
