About the wine
Grand-Puy Ducasse was considered an “underdog” next to his glamorous neighboring houses, Mouton-Rothschild and Lafite-Rothschild. Since the successful personality Anne de Naour took over the management of the winery, the winery has undergone a major transformation and the result is excellent quality wines that are now more than just an insider tip. The Prelude is, as the name says, the perfect introduction to the big world of Pauillac Châteaux. There is no more Médoch style for a comparable price!

Tasting note
The refreshing bouquet of Prelude a Grand Puy Ducasse Pauillac AOC of fruit compote, spices and tobacco flirts brilliantly with your sense of smell. Afterwards, spicy nuances of black cherry, black plum and black pepper will decisively and consciously impress your taste buds. With subdued, pleasantly developed tannins, a strong body and dominant acidity, this fruity red wine presents its flawless texture.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fine meat dishes or braised vegetables with Mediterranean spices.
