About the wine

The Gran Sasso mountain range is also called “La bella addormentata” - the sleeping beauty. When the sun sets behind the mountain peaks in the evening and you look at it from afar, it reminds you of a sleeping woman. Some of the best primitivos in Italy are pressed at the foot of the mountains.

Tasting note
An intense, fruity Primitivo with an aromatic bouquet and a strong backbone.
Culinary recommendation
Its abundance leaves a lot of scope. Goes well with grilled meats, stuffed eggplants, spicy foods such as pasta arrabiata, aged cheeses (Parmigiano/Pecorino), blue cheese and black chocolate.
