Tasting note
Nice cherry red. On the nose, ripe, complex wild berry fruit with subtle notes of tobacco and violet. Present on the palate, developing wonderful warmth, rounded and harmonious tannins. Good balance of fruit, acidity and wood; with a broad, spicy and persistent finish. A wonderful wine and a great Radici Riserva!
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with hearty food, such as Brasato Napoletana or game dishes.
Vinification
The Aglianico grapes are harvested and vinified by hand as a late harvest. The aging takes place over 30 months in large wooden barrels and 225 liter barriques. Only the best batches are selected for Riserva wines and are aged in the bottle for a further 36 months.
