About the wine
Christmas 2019 is just around the corner! Make the most of it with this provocative Merlot 2016 — Re Diale Bolgheri Superiore DOC! With experience and instinct, the winemaker from the Italian winery Lenovelire masters this red wine in the blooming and fertile Tuscan landscape. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a culinary experience when you offer this Merlot with poultry or slightly spicy red meat.
Tasting note
Flavors of black cherries, chocolate and hot peppers. The palate is rich in extracts and finesse with aromas of coffee and cocoa. The wine is very smooth with fine, soft tannins. Long finale!
Culinary recommendation
A perfect food companion that goes well with Tuscan finger food such as aromatic hard cheese and hearty, air-dried sausage specialities, but is just as delicious with pasta with Tuscan ragù or with hearty meat dishes such as pot roast, wild boar, lamb gigot, entrecote and venison stew.
Vinification
Manual reading at an optimal level of maturity. Aging for 18 months in French oak tonneaux.
