About the wine
With this dominant Shiraz 2016 — Réserve Auguste Favier Chât.-du-Pape AOC, the term taste takes on a new meaning. The winemaker from the French winery Domaine Isabel Ferrando has absolutely mastered his craft. Individuality and nobility are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the remote, untouched landscape of the Côtes du Rhône. Tasting note
Dense ruby red with distinct dark red shimmer. Needs aeration to unfold, peppery spice, ripe fruity, scent of black cherries, raspberries, delicate dried notes, fine buildup notes, coffee, chocolate, animal touch. Very long, soft start, still robust tannin, sweet-looking fruit, strong palate, slightly warming, medium persistence. A fascinating wine that takes time.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with Sisteron lamb in a haycoat and hard cheeses.
